Film dressings

Film dressings are thin, transparent dressings made from a breathable film coated with adhesive. They are designed to protect low exuding wounds and catheter insertion sites, while enabling normal oxygen exchange. 

Their transparent design enables clinicians to monitor the wound or catheter site without removing the dressing. Film dressings can be used on minor cuts and abrasions, superficial wounds, post-operative incisions and catheter site protection, and as secondary dressings to secure other dressings. Because they are flexible and conformable, film dressings are particularly useful on areas of the body that experience movement, providing secure fixation while maintaining patient comfort.
